I've upgraded from 8.3c to 9.1d, when trying to run an old database i get the following:

** Database has the wrong version number. (db: 4179, pro: 4187)

Where am I going wrong?

hmm .... lets see - old database = wrong version

databases must be converted from v8 to v9 format.
ie it now must be multiextent even if you only use 1 extent.

I haven't done much with 91d but with 90b you have some "83dbutils" to make the db multi extent, truncate the bi, etc....
