I've noticed that some of our backup information is bad. The SQL database shows no serial number or the wrong serial number of some of the tapes used in a job. I am running V6.61 EE. Has anyone seen this or better yet ... have a solution (besides dumping ARCServe)?

Upgrade to ARCserve 2000 SP4. There have been numerous fixes dealing with dupe/missing serial numbers in the database, and i'm sure they weren't back-ported.

Unfortunately, upgrading is not an option. The problem seems to occur mostly when a job is re-run. The database will show the job used 2 tapes [RG0511 & RG0791]. If you manually check the tapes through device manager, tape RG0791 is blank, but the data can be found on tape RG0877. It is backing up the info, its just logging the wrong tapes. We have to maunally check each tape in the library after our monthly fulls run to determine the tapes that were actually used.

Hello,
I have the same Problem, but we have sp4 and the last Service Packs with Arcserve 2000. And we use W2K with sp2 and 3 and STK Librarys....
