wrong sound driver installed - how to get rid of it?

Somehow when doing a Windows update a sound driver update for one of my other systems was installed on a machine. I have tried to uninstall it and have successfully installed the correct driver. However, I still get an error after logging onto the system that it can't fine a file (a .pcl i believe). I've searched using the find file feature, but can't locate it. Is there a way to fix this so the error doesn't keep popping up everytime I start the machine? I think the driver/software has been unistalled, but some entry is still looking for it.

Try the following:

DriverCleaner

http://www.drivercleaner.net/dc.htm

but be careful not to delete the wrong drivers, else you have to reinstall...

System Restore might be able to help you as that will remove any incorrectly installed update if you go back before the installation date.
