Hi All,

BCM200

System in question has DN's 7700 - 7716 with 7700 being the main office number.

7700 - 7703 are in the same hunt group.

The problem that is occuring is that when 7700 - 7703 make an external call the displayed digits at the receiving end are coming up as xxxx xxx 7701 for each of the phones instead of having the correct extension number at the end.

I have had them check both the private and public OLI and have been told that they have been set to 7700, 7701, 7702... respectivley for each phone.

Is there anywhere else this is setup that i can have them look?

Trouble is I cannot access their system from my site so i cannot check the programming myself.

Kind Regards

Stuart

What type of lines are connected to the system ?

What release is the system ?

Hi Khosher,

Thanks for the reply,

I believe it is a 3.6, there are 2 BRI lines attached to the system - managed to get a hold of the bill for this system and one line is provided on xxxx xxx 7700 and the other is provided on xxxx xxx 7701.

Could it be that BT are providing the digits on the 7701 BRI line?

As I say things are difficult to work out as i have no access to this system at the moment and the folk who do have access dont know anything about it.

Kind Regards

Stuart

What about the other phones, what do they show on the caller ID?

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Hi Ace,

Some of the phones are displaying the correct digits - they had tried this a while ago when they changed some of the OLI fields - so 7709 displays xxxx xxx 7709 when they dial out.

Kind Regards

Stuart

I would believe it to be related to the BRI they are dialing out from. If their OLI is not in the range of the DDI associatted with that BRI it will send the defafalt digits for that BRI

Hi,

Final update.

Khosher gets the Star!!

After finally getting access to the system programming turns out that the actually have 8 channels of PRI.

4 channels were assigned to xxx xxxx 7700
4 channels to the rest of the DDI range starting 7701

All 8 channels are programmed as part of the same line pool

7700 has 8 line buttons, if they use the bottom 4 to make outgoing call then the display is fine, if they use the other 4 then it outputs 7701.

If they use 9 for an outside line it is pot luck!!

Cheers for the help.

Even got the system patched to allow me to access using Java 1.6!!
