Go into access and change the value in question to 77777, or something readily remebered. Refresh crystal. What do you see then?

Wow, wierd.
I would apply the latest service pack to both Pervasive and Crystal and see what happens. I would also post this in the Pervasive forum. By the way, what version of Pervasive?
