Wrong fonts displaying!!!

Help!

I have a new G4 that I am liking very much. I put all of my fonts that I use in my User folder in the library/fonts folder.

When I view pages in Internet Explorer, the font should be Arial but it is one of my other fonts. I cannot figure this out! I deleted the font but it just switched to another one.

Do I have my fonts in the wrong place?

Whay are there font folders in library, system, system folder, and in my user library folder??????

I did not put any of these here and they have fonts in them. I don't get it. I know I do not know enough about my MAC yet to fix this...but this seems really odd!

I hope there is an easy solution out there!

This also is happening in Excel at times too!

What font manager are you using?

I am not using a font manager. I don't use one at work and everything is great. I really don't care for Extensis at all. I thought all that would be cool when I went to OSX. -----------------------------------------------

So I removed all of my fonts from the "User"/Library/Fonts folder and restarted. The problem went away. I think I have some older fonts in there that are causing issues with OSX. I am adding fonts back to that folder as I need them in development and this seems to be working. When I hit one that doesn't, I guess I'll know it and I can delete it then.

Are you using the most current version of the browser? Upgrading browsers is pretty important for Mac users.
