Writing html and css directly to livelink

Hi,

I've just joined a company running the web implementation of livelink 9.5. They're using it as a cms for their website. I've been asked to make sure a company report gets online. They have a template set up which includes a table. The new report has tables that don't match the template.

So far I have been editing text objets through the web interface. However I'd like to have a go at writing a new html table for this new data (or adapting the existing one). I can't seem to work out how to write html directly to livelink (and how style sheets are associated). If someone could point me in the direction of some useful information that would be superb. Better I learn to fix it myself than pay a dev to to it Yes I know you're all devs!!!

The livelink style sheets either come form the livelinksupport directory or the individual module html directories(which ain is copied inside the livelinksupport directory).if you want to refer to your own css templates the preferred approach is to create a subfolder and put your templates there.This is the approach taken by XML skins on the livelink UI.Check the XML skins discussion on the KB for aesthetization and style approach hints.Other options that can be done on the client side without touching server is ,I have not tested this but

You could put the CSS as an object in livelink,note its dataid
In you report where you refer the CSS you could include the open command of the dataid)This will be inefficient as there are permission checks on objects in livelink that is whey css's are kept in the support directories.

You could see if you can use an Appearance.

AppNair, I believe that this could be refering to the WCM offering from Obtree rather than LES.

Thanks for the replies everyone. It is indeed the Obtree offering. Forgove me, it's been some time since I last used Livelink and then I was managing an implementation rather than being technically hands on with the system.
