Hi,

Crystal Reports 4.6.1.0
Excel 97 SR2

I have a report with an ODBC connection to a csv file. I can view and browse my data in my report, but is there a way (function?) to write integer data into specified excel columns from within crystal reports?

Thanks in advance

From that old version of crystal, I would continue to use csv and then use excel's text import feature which will automatically put every data element into a separate column based on the separator, in this case the comma.

Newer versions of crystal have a lot less bugs when exporting to excel, in my experience. Software Support for Sage Mas90, Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine

I think I miscommunicated my intention. I want to dynamically poke values into certain excel cells from within my crystal report. For example, when the report runs it will look at data in the first column, if the data in a cell is greater than > 50 then it will poke (overwite the data in the excel cell) it to 10. I know i can read data from excel in crystal reports, how about writing data back into excel through a crystal report's function or formula.

Thanks in advance.
