I am totaly new to Lotus Notes! My problem is,I have a form, there are one radio button and another is a check box!
The radio button contains two option 1.Yes 2.No.
Now if one user chooses the "yes" option then one field will appear and if he chooses "no" then another field will appear.
The Check box contains three option 1. One 2. Two 3.Three
If the user chooses first option one field will appear and if he chooses two option or combination of three option will make the appearance of three field according the choices are made!
I request to all the members of this forum to help me frm this problem..I wll be greatfull to you!!

Whatever it is exactly that you want to do, with radio buttons and checkboxes you need to activate the option "Refresh fields on keyword change".

You will find this option in the Field Properties box, 2nd tab from the left (the Control tab).

What this option does is that, when you select an option from the listbox (radio or check), the form refreshes the fields on the document.

With this option activated, you can then use Hide/When options on your others fields to determine when they should appear and when they should disappear.

Since you are new to Notes development, I strongly suggest that you read about Hide/When formulas. The most important thing to remember is that a Hide/When determines when the field should be HIDDEN, and when it is not hidden it is visible. So your formulas should be built to check when hiding is important.

It is easy to be confused with Hide/When formulas - even experienced developers can find themselves in a bit of a rut when they don't pay attention. But fear not, Hide/Whens are very useful in general - and even mandatory in your specific case.

Good luck !

Pascal.

I've got nothing to hide, and I'd very much like to keep that away from prying eyes.
