right now, I have to run the macro by clicking the button or type ctrl A, how can I write a script that will run a ctrl A?
thanks

I'm sure this isn't exactly what you want to hear but you could maybe create a thing in VB using sendkeys that would be callable from your vbscript. You alernatively could look on the web for a utility that "ghosts" key presses for you.

Hope this helps...

If this is a WSH script you already have SendKeys.

The real question is what environment this stuff is living in. Are we talking about an Office macro and script within Office or what here?
