Write to an excel spreedsheet?

I upgraded my access and can no longer write to the excel spreadsheet it is read only, I linked the spreed sheets. Is there a way to connect to the excel spreadsheet and read and write to it?

If a workbook is read-only, but wasn't before, oftentimes that occurs when someone else has the workbook open first. Are you sure that is not the case?

I linked the spreed sheets.

Also, are your connections and actions being carried out in VBA? If not, then you're in the forum. Also, if this has nothing to do with MS Access, you're in the wrong forum.

It is just a link to the Access database. I do a the write to excel with VB using ado code, worked before but when it try's to write I get a read only error. If there is a way to connect to Excel with a string that would be great!

1. This is not a connection it is a link.
2. I have 4 excel sheets pre formated in one excel file and write the info into the different excel sheets. It worked realy well tell now.
