Is it possible to write values of a string into a database (with j++ 6.0), for instance access? I'd like to have a code that if you press a button it writes the value of a string into the database. I've been trying lotsa things but I just can't find the right solution. Btw it's for a stand-alone application so it won't connect to the internet for the database.
I hope u can help me, thnx anyway. If you got any questions juzt let me know.

lotsa thnx if ya can help me out with this problem

hi

i dunno bout j++ but i can give java code if u want. u can use the java.sql package. create a table in some database like ms-access with a single column of text (if thats the only thing u want). use the odbc connection manager (in control panel of windows) to make a driver 4 the connection. the rest is very easy. i can give u the exact code if the coding is the same in java and j++.

luv
Karthik.

ofcourse I'd like 2 receive the code (even it's in java), because there aren't that much differences between java & j++ so I'll just cut&past a bit in your code to make it correct 4 j++ (btw just mail the code to : denricco_@hotmail.com)

thnx again
