Hi all,
I have several recorded TV shows from WMC, and I'm converting them to .mp4 for space reasons (a half hour show in .wtv or dvr-ms is up to 3.5 GB). I have a powershell script that does that for me, but I'd like to retain the metadata from the original file. These are things like Parental Rating, Episode Name, Broadcast Date, etc. The Microsoft powershell training book I have called these extended file properties (and you can view them in Explorer or by clicking details in properties of the file).
I have managed to find one program that will let me write to .dvr-ms files but the encoder doesn't keep the metadata.
Does anyone know a scriptable way to write extended file types to ANY file? If that doesn't exist, what about to an .mp4?
Thanks in advance!
