Write data in a txt file

Hey
i v got a script and i would like to know if only with actionscript you can write in a txt file.

loadVariables("passwd.txt", ""
loadVariables("name.txt", ""

i read data with these two actions. anyway to write in?

You can't write to a text file with Flash alone!
Need some server side scripting.

because i have been trying hard to get some of my CGI script to work, i didn't want a simple script like this, to do everything i needed.
