Wrapping text around invisible cylinder

Hi,

I'm pretty new to gimp. I would like to wrap text around to meet itself so that it looks like it's been wrapped around an invisible cylinder.

It's kind of like the text circle script fu, but instead I would like the text to be vertical around the circle, as opposed to the letters being smaller at the top and bigger at the bottom.

Is there any way to do this?
