Wrapping Text around a sphere 1

I am trying to create an effect, in illustrator, (or photoshop) that has a globe/ sphere undernieth text. The text will then, ideally, be wrapped around the shpere in perspective with the vanishing points. I am unsure how to do this with multiple words, but i do have an idea of how to do this with one. Does anyone know if there is a way to take a body of text, or seperate images and make them appear as if they are following the curve of a sphere with out doing it one at a time?

Take a look at Effect menu/Warp. Play with them. Some might give you what you want. Bulge is the simplest, but you can use combinations of these effects for further enhancement.

If you use multiple effects, it's easiest to do them on different layers so they're easy to trash if necessary.
