"WPWin Error: Input file is not the format specified" message has shown up after WIN2000 didn't shut down properly; now can't access a Most Important File (!); can't open it with any other program either; no other files seem to be affected; uninstalled/reinstalled the entire Corel business, but error remains; running WP 7.0.2.19 on WIN2000; help, anyone?!?! Much appreciated.

It sounds like the file is corrupted. You should be able to find a utility at Corel's site that will deal with document corruption. The link to the utility is:
