I have a Linksys WPC54G Wireless Notebook Adapter, which i cannot configure to work with my Laptop. I have installed all the drivers and utilities that have been given, but there is no connection being made with my access point. The disc is useless, and so are the drivers which are available on the linksys website. I have had this working previously without any problems, but since i formatted my laptop, it has not been installing. Could somebody please advise.

I assume you have gone through the setup procedure to fully re-setup your default connection?

Can you see the access point from the WPC54G utility? (can't remember which screen it is, but it should list all the points it sees and their signal strength under one of the tabs on the main page. I can check which one when I get home.)

Have you double checked the settings in the access point itself? (i.e. mac address authentication, encryption, access point name, etc. . .)

Doesn't sound like a driver issue to me. Sounds like a configuration problem somewhere.

What model access point are you using?

What OS are you running on your laptop?

With a little more info, I'm sure we could pin it down. . .
