WPC11 v3 dropping link every 5 minutes

I have a Linksys WPC11 v3 card in my Hp notebook running XP SP1. I have an Linksys AP w/ router and 4-port switch model befw11s4. Everything was working fine until I installed a critical update from Microsoft. Now the card drops it's link to the AP it seems like every 2-5 minutes. I manually reconnect to the AP, and it just drops again. I have installed the latest firmware in the AP, turned off Boradcast SSID, turned off/on WEP, re-installed the card/drivers.

Anybody have any thoughts on this? I'm sure the update did something, but I don't know how to reverse it or fix it.

Do you have system restore turned on your system? If so try and restore the system. You can find it under sysetm tools.
