At work we are using cisco 1200 APs with WPA enabled along with WEP. Our clients are using Lenovo T-43s with IBM Connections. We have a large conference room with 3 APs in it. On most occasions there might be 15 - 30 laptops connected to the various APs. They can all get a network connection - the Internet and their Exchange connections - but most cannot get network drives where the bulk of their work resides.

If we change the wireless configuration to WEP on these machines they can all get all their network resources. If we go back to WPA, a few (two or three - usually the first ones in the room) can get all their resources, the rest only the Internet Connection and their e-mail.

These users have to have connections to their network drives because that is where their work is stored. They CANNOT save work to their C drives.

My question is do we need to add many new APs or is there some configuration we are missing? Any thoughts??

Try to change the channel on the AP. Maybe there is interfence. Check the web interface on the router...maybe you have something set to only allow a certain amount of people to connect. Also you may want to try the cisco forum.
