WP9 under Xp Pro

I'm very green on WP and I have an client that wants to upgrade their O/S from 95/98 to win2k och win xP pro. My thoughts is that it would be better to go for the latter since they won´t upgrade again for a couple of years but I'm uncertain whether WP9 will run under xP. Does anyone know?

Our experience has been that WP9, sp4 is much more stable on Windows 2000 than it was on Windows 98se. We have been running WP9, sp4 on a couple of XP laptops for a couple of months without incident or issues.

If your client is not running service pack 4 get it before you move to the newer operating systems. It is a re-write of wp9 specifically for Win2k and is available from Corel on cd. It is not available as a patch, only a fresh install.

I have run WordPerfect 9 under Windows XP Pro for over a year without any really big problems. During one support call to Corel (for a "how-to" question, not a problem) they did indicate that I should get the rewrite version described. I did. I have not seen any noticeable difference.
