If I login as Admin to the Win2k PC and am able to get the Spell Checker dropdown menu. When I login as a regular user, that option is grayed out and unavailable. I am running on a Novell Netware 5 network. Does anyone have any ideas as to the fix? My PC Techs seem to think that there is a policy in place that is taking that ability away from the user.

All help would be appreciated.

Could it be a rights issue?

I believe the speller utility is located (by default) in the Shared\Writing Tools\9.0 under the Corel folder (although I could be wrong).

If a user didn't have rights to the folder, it might cause the speller to not be found (and therefore, probably disabled). BlackburnKL

If this just occured and not a new install. Check to see if HotBar was installed. I have found that Word Perfect doesn't like Hotbar and this is the result. Uninstalling hotbar fixes Spell Check. Sorry no playful jumpy things in e-mail or internet brower.
