WP 8, IE & Win98SE - pasting problems

Just upgraded the hardware on a Win98 first edition machine & upgraded to Win98SE, IE 6.1 SP1, & all Windows upgrades. Once done, noticed that Wordperfect 8 no longer is able to paste from internet explorer while IE is open. Copy & paste from any other source works, and if I close IE I can then paste stuff copied from when IE was open. Also, all other programs (notepad, wordpad, MS Word, etc.) have no problems copy & pasting from IE, only WP 8 has this issue.

Can't find the WP 8 cd, so I cannot do a reinstall. I did upgrade WP 8 to service patch 7 off Corel's ftp site, but the problem still exists.

Any help is appreciated.

Paste to WordPad and then copy it and paste to wp.

I'd thought about doing a macro at one time to make this more automatic.
