WP 11 stops responding when I save file 1

I'm on Windows XP with WordPerfect 11.0.0.321. My file previously worked well. I deleted a supscript, and since then WP crashes (goes to Not Responding) whenever I try to save this file.

The article in the Knowledge Base didn't help since it is for Windows NT and 2000.

Any ideas on what I can do? If I have to recreate this file...

It may be corrupt. You can use wplook.exe from Corel's web site to repair it or use the x-retrieve method. In a blank document, type some letter like "x" and delete it. Then click the Insert menu and insert the problem file and save with a new name.

Sometimes, if you click Tools, Proofread and turn off those options, it will help for such problem files.
