asp.net unleashed by SAMS is a great book. It's very thick, and serves as a great reference even after you get going.

Good sites:
(good tutorials)
(good server controls)

and the best resource of all when you hit a roadblock:

This forums little 'tidbits' thread, where alot of good information has been gathered:
thread855-288280

Just remember to post to it when you find your own tidbits

And my random thoughts thread that I posted after coming back fresh from an asp.net conference. I put all sorts of goodies in here:
thread855-265989

Please let us know if there's anything you get stuck on. I remember you from the asp classic forum, and am glad you've decided to make the jump. ;-)

Everyone should.

Good luck!

[tt]Thanks for responding Paul, I definitely remember you (how could I not, you helped me the most) when I first started with ASP two years ago.

I'll look into your suggestions. Thanks

In case of ASP Error? =

You know you're going to have to change your signature now, don't you?

Something maybe more along the lines of:

lblName.Text = "Tony"

LOL
