To set up a broadcast mailbox, it is necessary to assign a unique number to the broadcast mailbox in the Voice Messaging Options screen. The number for the broadcast mailbox can be checked, or entered, in the following menu.

3 Voice Administration.
1 Voice Messaging Options.

Any mailbox user requiring access to the broadcast facility must have a
Class of Service set to Broadcast Capability = YES.

Please note if you wish to limit the number of users allowed broadcasting capability then it may be necessary to create a new class of service for them or perhaps to change them to a personal class of service.

Once the above is set up users may follow the steps below to record and send a broadcast message:

1 Log on to a Meridian Mail mailbox with broadcast capability.
2 Press 75
3 Enter the broadcast mailbox number for your local Meridian
Mail system, and press #.
4 Press # again, to end the list.
5 To start recording, press 5.
6 At the tone, record your broadcast message.
7 To stop recording, press #.
8 To listen to your broadcast message, press 2.
9 To send the broadcast message, press 79.
10 To end your voice messaging session, press 83, and then hang
up.
