would like to open a crystal report in an ASP web page

Hi!
I would like to open crystal reports from ASP pages, in a web interface. Can anyone please suggest how it can be done.

This is actually a big question, mainly having to do with scalability, as CR seriously limits the number of users who can view reports over the web at one time.

Using the RDC is a basic approach, but doesn't scale well. Since you haven't mentioned anything about your environment (how many users, which version of Crystal, etc.) it's hard to give you a good answer.

If you have greater needs in terms of scalability, you'll need to investigate the Report Applicaton Server (RAS) that comes with CR Advanced or Crystal Enterprise.

Hello FVTrainer,

I am using CR9 Adv. Edition on the server, no CE or RAS installed.

When you say seriously limiting the number of users online if I am using RDC alone. Is it the license issue, or technically the Crystal will kick users out if I have more than 5 concurrent users?
