would like to limit mailbox size

hey,

I have qmail and courier-imap. does anybody know how I would limit each users mailbox size and notify each user when the limit is approaching?

all help is appreciated.

You could use quota (man quota) but it's a mess if the mailbox hits the hard limit and your users are too stupid to understand it.
