Would like a simple network broadcast utility 1

On our Win 2000 Advanced server, when there is a application problem, we need to notify users of the problem.
We are just becoming "spreadout" where we use to do a telephone intercom message.
I remember at one company there was a network broadcast message utility but cannot remember the name.
Please send the name of the utility and any network broadcast ideas. Thanks

look at the "net send" command

For example, net send * your message

will be sent to ever workstation on your subnet - just remember it will not cross routers.
