Is there a way of using the old properties function (ddmodify) that was used in R14 and all previous versions, in autocad2000i. I really can't get on with the new properties function, every time I select an entity autocad swaps the layer?

They have updated it. I'm not sure why you get the swaping layer proplem, I have never that problem caused by AutoCAD.

You will get used to it I now find it very hard to work on R14 (and hope i will never have to again). Have a look on the autodesk web site to see if there is a patch or work round i have found it a very usfully site.

Hope i have helped

Martin

You can download the updated (now old) ddmodify routine at Drew Fulford's MCAD site:
> MDT > MDT Tips and Tricks > Nifty Routines > Good old DDMODIFY for MDT 4.
(it will work in ACAD 2K)
