Do to changing ISP's I needed to change the IP addressing scheme on a clients network. After the change was made, the win 9x machines still can logon to the server but the NT machines come up with an error that they cannot locate domain controller and will log me in using as cached copy of the login.

Would removing and adding the machine back into the domain correct this???

Thanks,

Bmorritt

Probably not. Are these DHCP Clients or are they statically configured for TCP/IP? More times than not, the inability to locate a domain controller is due to an incorrect WINS configuration. Make sure the NT clients all point to the correct WINS server. If you are not using WINS, you'll need to add a static entry into the LMHOSTS file.

Hope this helps ... I'll check back. X-) Bill

I will take another look at the WINS config.
