In the MSD of the EventServer Settings.
The workspace option for all the systems setup as File 1024/64.I need a help in findout Which is good memory or FILE?

1024 X 64 will try to use 64 meg of RAM per map. Do you have this much? 8+ gig?

Why are the default settings not being used. If you have map that has a performance issue, then test different settings (or istall 8.0 on another workstation ahd use it's dstxpage.txt utility to test and get the best setting.

Normally, if you will be creating a work area of over 4 -6 meg, file (or file unique) would be best. Less than that, memory should be OK.

With 245 watches on a 2 CPU box, you will need to do a lot of map and system tuning. Make sure you get PTF 60894 if you use a DB adapter.

Consider getting a lot more RAM for the box too.
