Hi All

Is there a way or comand to tell excel worksheet to get the data from CSV
file. Somethink like [INDIRECT] command.

thanks
Menon

Hi Menon,

Try this...

Open the CSV in Excel.
Link the Active Spreadsheet using =filename.csv!$B$2
Then close the CSV without saving. Should work fine, unless I am misunderstanding your question.

Cheers

Matthew

Hi Matthew

Thanks for the reply. Is it necessary to open the csv file?
Is there any way around without opening the CSV file. I am presently using the [INDIRECT] command to get this done but the csv file has to be opened to get the actual value.

thanks
Menon

Menon - please do not double post - I have replied in your other post as to how to get the data into excel - the way I have suggested should work without having to open the csv file.

Rgds, Geoff
