Worklist menu item

We have a menu item, Worklist, in 8.9 that we cannot remove from the parent menu. Our regular employees should not see any mention of this menu and it was confirmed that all permission lists associated with this menu have been removed from their permissions. We also cannot use the "hide from portal" checkbox because some power users need to see this menu.

My question is, what other area should I look at to remove this menu?

OK, so I've done some looking into "security based on user class" and I give up. Can you give any hints as to what settings I need to adjust or inspect to test your theory?

You have to know application designer and be a security administrator in order to do this. Another way of securing objects in Peoplesoft is thru peoplecode but not recomended because of maintenance problem during upgrades.

I have access and I am an administrator. Are you saying that it's PeopleCode related? Is there not a generic way to remove this Worklist item? We're dealing with a delivered system in preparation for the upgrade, but this menu eludes us.
