OK, I searched first before posting this. I am using CR 9.0. I have formula fields that return a boolean T or F, if F do this if T do that, the formula works fine. If I right click on the formula I can choose Format Field, Font tab and put a X-2 condition on the style if I wanted to. Here is the problem, I have separate text object that I want to make Bold or Ital depending on what the formula field (T or F) next to it is. If the formula is F then font would be regular if the formula is T then then font would become bold. REMEMBER this is for a Text object. When you right click on a Text object, I have the choice Format Text and only under Common and Border can you do any x-2 conditional formatting. How can I get the text object to turn bold based on a formula field that is based on a field from the DB. (I sound crazy right).
This is the formula I have for the Text Object:
formula = {@bird}
if formula = CHR(252)Then crBold else
crRegular
--
Now I only want the text object to become bold if @bird is T, now in the @Bird formula the last thing the formula knows is that it is now CHR(@252) if it is T and this formula under Basic Syn works (or it accepted it).
If my formula is right, I have no idea where to put in on the Text object to make it take effect if @bird is T.
I hope I explained this, I'll check in later to see if someone could help me.
