I currently manage a win2K server network but have no qualifications, I want to become mcse certified so am planning on taking the 2003 courses and exams to be a little bit more future proof. Basically can someone tell me if im wise or not, ive no experience of 2003 but hopefully we will be able to upgrade our network in the next 12 months or so.

Hi Rimmy,

I'm pretty much in the same boat as you. I posted the MCSE 2K or 2k3 question.

It makes sense that 2k3 would be the way to go since there will be less exams to take if you were to do 2k first then 2k3 after. Not to mention that 2k3 wouldn't be out dated anytime soon and people who are already 2k certified are in the process of upgrading to 2k3.

I configured a 2k3 box already and didn't notice any difference from 2k.

Good luck!

Ken
