Working w/ fields in word....

Hi there:
At work we have a word doc that was created with several fields in which we insert our patients information.
We recently added a field in the original doc. Every time I go to update that word doc and try to add that field it appears to work. Of course I have to unprotect the doc to be able to add that specific field and then I save it. Now the problem comes when I reopen that doc.....it won't tab between fields and sometimes certain fields when typed in are red with a line through them.

I would appreciate any help....I can't figure this out!!!!

The problem would appear to be that when you resaved the document it was saved with tracked changes protection.

1. Open your document.

2. Select Tools | Unprotect Document to unprotect the document

3. Select Tools | Protect Document - check "Forms" in the dialog box.

4. Click OK and save document.

Reopen, your problem should be sorted.
