Is there a way to remote into a Citrix box from home using Citrix Nfuse? Or do I have to configure the firewall to allow outside users? What is the best way to allow someone to remote into a box from home?

We have found that the best way is to install a remote access server on site and then allow the users to dial in to this. They will all have the ICA clients on their home PC and after they have connecte to the RAS can sign in to the Citrix server in the normal way.

Sorry, I've no experience of NFuse so can't comment on that.

So I would have to set up RAS service on the Citrix machine?

With everything behind the firewall (servers, database, etc.), isn't it going to prevent all outsiders from coming in? So do I have to configure the firewall also?

You can use ICA Dialin instead of RAS - it's quicker.

NFuse puts applications into a web page, so you could just install it on an IIS server, open up port 1494 on your firewall and connect via the web, with no direct dialup. You could also use CSG, thus limiting access to secure port 443 and keep outsiders at bay.

You can download guides from Citrix's site on all of this.

Hope this helps CitrixEngineer@yahoo.co.uk
