workgroup printing

I have a workgroup setup and have a win 2k printer shared. From the 98 machines I can print fine, but when trying to install on a xp pro machine, the machine drops down when I try to add the printer but the printer does not drop down so I can add. I've tried typing in the path but seem to be having problems.

One problem I noticed was that the master browser was disabled on the xp machine and when enabling it, the machine where the printer is dropped down but not the actual printer.

Any suggestions?
