I have created my DMZ, LAN and External Network on the Checkpoint FW. The Proxy Server in the DMZ only has one single ip address in the DMZ range and this is not part of the domain. In fact it is in its own workgroup

Whenever devices use the Proxy to get to the Internet, it always asks for username and password. How do I get around this? I don’t want them to be asked for any username or password.

Also, do I take the FW out of the domain and also put it in into its own workgroup?

Thanks

that will be a setting of the proxy. the proxy is set up for authentication. the users wont be known to the proxy so the proxy is asking for authentication. If you dont want to authenticate then you need to switch this off on the proxy (if this is for outgoing connections only then use hide nat on the proxy)

i would always keep the firewall out of any domains unless absolutely nessesory.

what is the proxy? you will probably find it is set to only allow authenticated users. you may want to change this to ip ranges (internal Lan)
