workgroup call handling

I've inherited management of a legacy 5.0a system. There are a couple of workgroups where the members say if they're on a call, they get no notification of new incoming calls, and have no ability to put their current call on hold and pick up an incoming call.

They were using the Alticonsole app, but the documentation seems to indicate the Altiagent is appropriate for what they're doing. Can anyone speak to what I need to configure to make this work?
 
yes, the agents need to use the AltiAgent client instead of AltiConsole. Before you can load the software you have to make sure that your system has AltiAgent client licenses loaded onto it.
