Workflows and SQL Server

Hi,

I'm trying to slowly work my way to Microsoft SQL Server DBA status, but am not there yet. Am looking for tips,pointers, etc., on tuning SQL Server. Have a workflow-centric Livelink server (lots of workflows - lots!) and getting a workflow status is beciming difficult. Any suggestions on tuning SQL for this type of situation would be appreciated!!!
