I have a User Step in a Live Link workflow that I need to assign the due date from an attribute that was specified when the workflow was initiated.

All I see is a "duration" field only excepting numbers (1 day, 2 days).

There is no corresponding command or api call in livelink for that.If you are using an event script(oscript) you have to load the workstatus and then get the task and update its duration thru sql.Thru lapi it would be the same procedure.
The exact sql is vailable in OT KB.
If you want to see an event script that does it feel free to email me at appoos att hotmail doot coom.I don't have any lapi samples that does it sorry.

(the email addrees spoof is intentional sorry)

Did not quite comprehend the "duration" field question.

It probably depend on the map.WFmap tasks can certainly take duration in days or a hard stop date as well.

Well, if I called the wrong number, why did you answer the phone?

There is a module that has this as one of its minor features. It's called GCI Power Tools for Workflow module. It's sold by Global Cents. I wrote the OT Workflow and Forms modules and I also did this add-on module. It allows you to put custom interfaces on all workflow steps including Signatory steps as well as providing complete notification, escalation, auto complete, node manipulation, an various other features. You can see a demo of the product at:

That video is of V1 of the product. V2 has the feature you are requestion and is scheduled for release the first week of May.
