Workbook Size Optimizer is not working

Have a large 2013 MS Excel file, over 15 megabyte, with over 10 PowerPivot Data Models that I am attempting to optimize using the Workbook Size Optimizer add in.

Continue to receive an error - "The workbook cannot be optimized if there are unsaved changes. Save the file and try again."

I have saved numerous times but continue to receive the error.

Any insight as to how I can successfully use the Workbook Size Optimizer?

Was there ever a resolution for this issue? I am running into the same thing on Win 8.1 and Office 2013 x64.
