Workaround for getting Outlook View Control to work in Access 2007?

Has anyone had any luck in getting the Outlook View Control (OVC) to work in Access 2007. It is pretty well known that it doesnt work in Access 2007 but I'm wondering if anyone here has been able to come up with a solution.
Currently I am using the Outlook Web Control (OWC), embedded in a MS Browser Control. This leaves me able to communicate with the OWC via the .document interface but I'm hoping someone here has a better solution.
