Work with Btrieve files with VB 6.0

sorry but i have a question... Can i work with Btrieve Files under VB 6.0...I will write progs to work with them to keep them clean. Our last Reorg wasn´t very helpfull, some files don´t get really smaller after aou reorg..i think it´s because the our Users write not the right things, so that some things stand in our files that don´t have to stand there ...I hope you understand it...

Yes you can use Pervasive Btrieve and VB6. You might take a look at

as they own Btrieve. They have a SDK that you can download as well. I use the ActiveX controls for most of my processing but you can use the ODBC drivers if you prefer that method. You can also use the Btieve API but it requires the most code. If you want to take a look at a program written in VB6 using the API that accesses Btrieve files check out
