work offline connection state in outlook

I understand the offline connection state occurs if the connection to the exchange server is lost or if a person enters in a wrong username or password at the outlook startup. However, does anyone know why the offline state does not automatically change back to connected when the connection is restored. We keep having to manually uncheck work offline. One person gets the offline state quite a bit so does that mean they have a bad network connection to the exchange server.

Yep - usually means there is a connectivity issue.

i am also interested in this as to why it doesn't go back to connected automatically?
