Working in a network application I set the alias :work: path to c:\pdx\prog

I need to return the path to F:\easy\easyprog

I tried to [Remove] it but the [Driver type], and [path] fields are not accessible.

In desperation, Using Windows Explorer, I renamed the folder from c:\pdx\prog to C:\pdx\program, hoping the :work: alias would disappear, but instead:

The alias :work: path changed to
C:\program files\corel\wordperfect office 2002\programs

Elevator,

You can't change the :WORK: or the :pRIV: aliases using the Alias Manager. Use File | Working Directory to change the former and Tools | Settings | Preferences (the Database tab) to change the latter.

If you've tried that and still can't access your F: drive, then verify that the drive is actually available. For example, open the MS-DOS (or Command) Prompt and see what happens when you type:

Code:
c:
cd\easy\easy\prog

If that doesn't work, then the problem is with the drive reference itself, not with Paradox.

Hope this helps...
