Hi,

When I save a file in WordXP, it point me to the "my document" folder. If i try to change the directory to anything else, it close the program without any error alert and It does'nt save the file.

Anybody got a idea what could be the problem ? Please let me know :) I've tried Desinstalling Office and Reinstalling, update Office XP (SP1 & SP2) and also update WindowsXP (SP1).

Thanks !

Does windows explorer operate correctly by itself? If you use explorer to copy a document to somewhere other than My Documents can you: Open Word (blank file), then using Open navigate to where you copied the file?

Next, does this behavior occur if you use SAVE AS from the file menu?

Lastly, are there any errors listed in Windows Event Viewer? (Start,Run,eventvwr.msc)
