I just upgraded to Office XP, running on a Win 98 PC, un-installed and re-installed the link. I am getting an error when merging. It reads "GroupMerge.OpenDataSource ERROR: 5922: Word was unable to open the data source."
I went on the FrontRange site, and found a couple of articles for Error 5922, but none were relevant to Word XP. There were articles written for Word 97-2000 with RightFax, and also an article for Visual Basic yada yada yada.
If anyone has come across this, or knows of a solution, I would be most grateful.
BTW, it does work on another PC that is running Windows XP with Office XP. If it ain't broken, play with it till it breaks.

Which version of GoldMine are you using?

The link in versions prior to 5.7 had "issues" with Word XP. If you're using a previous version, you can download the latest link installer from FrontRange, uninstall your existing Word link, and re-install the link using the new installer. That will likely resolve the issues.

You can download the installer from here:

Good luck!
